Experiment
|
Aim: To determine if the phone can be charged by warming it up and if charging it at different percentages will affect this.
|
Risk Assessment
Battery can't came into contact with water or moist things The connection point of the battery and phone needs to kept clean Beware about it cause it can burst into flames, handle very carefully |
Hypothesis
The phone will be able to be charged by warming the battery up, also it won't be too affected by the percentage of the charge unless it hits zero percent if it does it won't charge |
Method
The phone was left until 5 percent of charge and then turned off.
The battery was then removed and placed in hands to charge.
It was charged for 5 minutes and then placed back into the phone.
The phone was then turned on again and the percentage was checked.
This was repeated several times for each percentage tested.

The independent variable in this experiment is the starting percentage that the phone is turned off on.
The dependent variable is the percentage it ends up on after charging it.
The validity will be ensured by only changing my independent variable in this case the starting charge. The controls where all kept the same such as the phone and battery. Also I tested every percentage by turning it on and off without doing anything to it to use as my controls. The controlled variables stayed the same by using the same phone and battery, it was constant throughout the experiments.
The reliability of this experiment will depend on repeating it many times as well as testing this on other phone to see if it applies to most phones. So it was replicated on another phone as well in order to ensure the reliability by repeating on another phone. By repeating it exactly the same way I can make sure its reliable.
